The Indianapolis Colts, in conjunction the NFL’s national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, continued their celebration at their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 23. During the game’s third quarter, the team presented the second annual NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award to Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Rafael Sanchez.
“It was incredible. Being on the field in front of 60,000+ people with my face on the big screen for the longest 30 seconds of my life was quite the experience,” Sanchez said after being honored in front of the Colts’ home crowd. “I have received tons of texts, emails, etc. congratulating me from people who were at the game.”
In addition to his on-the-field recognition, Sanchez conducted an interview during the Colts pre-game radio program discussing the award and his involvement with the Hispanic community.
