Posted in General

Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP attorney Ed Perry, president of The First Tee of Louisville, formally thanked The UPS Foundation on Nov. 2, 2012 for a $50,000 grant to the local youth development program. The grant will enable The First Tee of Louisville to construct a nine-hole, par-3 Youth Golf Course at Metro Parks’ Seneca Golf Course.

A backhoe was used to dig into the turf at Seneca to signal the start of construction, which will begin immediately. The First Tee of Louisville also has locations at Lindsey (Ft. Knox) and Farnsley golf courses, and Metro Parks’ Shawnee Golf Course and Bobby Nichols Golf Course.

The First Tee of Louisville strives to enrich the lives of young people between the ages of 5 and 18 in the Louisville Metropolitan area by promoting character development, positive life skills and golf’s inherent values. This is carried out through unique development programs and affordable facilities, which UPS is helping to expand.

Ed Perry has been president of the The First Tee of Louisville since its creation in 2005. Now retired, Ed concentrated his practice in mergers and acquisitions and is former chairman of the Corporate and Transactional Practice Group. Ed was also a member of the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
