Best of Bingham: Women’s Forum Members Attend Indiana Governor’s Conference for Women
Posted in Womens Forum

Recently, a group of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP attorneys had the opportunity to attend the Indiana Governor’s Conference for Women. More than 1,000 people attended this inaugural event, which was co-founded by Billie Dragoo and Deborah Collins Stephens. Billie and Deborah are both influential Indiana women business leaders who are deeply invested in our community.

The conference brought together best-selling authors, venture capitalists and high ranking women leaders. The breakout sessions included topics such as turning passion into successful careers, successful social media strategies and tips for raising outside investments. The conference also included pitch competitions by six investment-seeking Indiana companies as part of “The Dolphin Tank” breakout sessions. Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Kandi Hidde moderated a session with author Margaret Heffernan which focused on lessons about leadership.

Women business leaders from across the state of Indiana had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the nation’s top executives and investors. Martha Stewart, founder of Martha Stewart Living OmniMedia, and Charlotte Beers, a former CEO of advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and undersecretary of state to Colin Powell, were keynote speakers at the event. Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Sue A. Beesley spoke with Martha Stewart during Martha’s book signing session and talked about Martha’s visit to the famous Long’s Bakery on the west side of downtown Indianapolis.

The firm and the Women’s Forum are pleased to sponsor the inaugural Indiana Governor’s Conference for Women. The successful event has and will continue to help empower current and future women leaders from across the state of Indiana.

The Best of Bingham is a series of posts by the Bingham Greenebaum Doll Women’s Forum recognizing the professional and community successes of our members, our colleagues, and our clients.
