Bingham Greenebaum Doll Attorneys Take Second Place in Harrison Legal Writing Awards

Bingham Greenebaum Doll partner J. Richard Kiefer and attorney Casey Kannenberg were recently honored with the second place prize in the Harrison Legal Writing Awards, presented by the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) at their annual awards luncheon on Oct. 20. Dick and Casey won for their work “Preserving the Attorney-Client Privilege in Internal Corporate Investigations: Parts 1 & 2” which appeared in Res Gestae.

Established in 1996 by the ISBA Written Publications Committee, the Harrison Legal Writing Award commemorates the first president of the Indiana State Bar Association, former U.S. President Benjamin Harrison, and recognizes articles of significant subject matter, practicality and timeliness, with high quality research and legal analysis. Plaques are awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners.

Also among the finalists in the state-wide competition were Bingham Greenebaum Doll partner James Bell and Bingham Greenebaum Doll attorney Kathleen Rudis for their piece, “Advising criminal defendants in Indiana of potential collateral consequences of a guilty plea in the aftermath of Padilla v. Kentucky.”
