On behalf of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, we would like to congratulate OFS Brands, an Indiana-based furniture company and BGD client, on winning three Interior Design Magazine “Best of Year” awards in product design. The distinguished design competition recognizes superior interior design products and projects.
Five OFS Brands products were finalists at the awards – the most finalists any company has ever had in the history of the “Best of Year” program. Eleven Work Space by OFS captured top honors in the contract systems furniture category; Rule of Three by Carolina won the health care furniture award; and Juga, a Karim Rashid design for Loewenstein, won for the outdoor seating category. In addition to the three winning products, Slate by OFS and The Edge by First Office were also finalists and received an honoree award.
This year’s “Best of Year” awards were held on Dec. 5 in the IAC Building in New York City. More than 1,000 people from the design community attended. Qualified interior designers and architects selected the “Best of Year” product design finalists during a two-week period in October via an online vote, which generated more than 64,000 votes. Category winners were determined by a panel of leading architects and designers.
OFS Brands is comprised of four distinct brands – OFS, First Office, Loewenstein and Carolina – that provide furniture to a wide range of contract interior environments that include office spaces, lifestyle interiors and health care markets. Based in Huntingburg, Ind., OFS Brands is a family owned company.
BGD is proud to have been able to represent OFS Brands in securing the rights to Eleven Work Space and Juga brand products and looks forward to continued support of the company. Earlier this year, we had the privilege of filming a short video featuring the company and the work we’ve done to help the family transition their business between generations.
