Coming to a City Near You: Leadership Exchange 2011

The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce has given our city the great fortune of being front and center at this year’s Leadership Exchange, currently taking place Oct. 23-25.

This program is designed to convene civic leaders from Greater Indianapolis in one city each year, allowing all in attendance to learn more about the successes and challenges each host city has faced. Our own civic leaders have returned to Indianapolis from past Exchanges to apply new discoveries and ideas. We’re proud to serve as the host city this year, joining the ranks of past host cities such as Denver, CO., Charlotte, NC and Austin, TX.

This year’s Exchange is giving Indianapolis leaders the stage as they delve into issues surrounding education, transportation, economic development, arts and culture, regional cooperation and neighborhood development. With a Super Bowl on Indianapolis’ horizon, this year’s Leadership Exchange promises to be packed with intriguing questions and stimulating conversation. I’m proud to serve as a co-chair for the Emerging Leaders subcommittee for this year’s Exchange. The lineup of leaders and events we have scheduled assures that plenty of collaboration and brainstorming will be taking place, contributing to an end result of development and fresh ideas for Indianapolis.
