Congratulations Stratosphere Quality

Indiana businesses and jobs look to be coming back around full circle; the Indiana Economic Development Organization says it received commitments from over 200 companies this year to expand business and create new jobs for Hoosiers.  Recently our client, Stratosphere Quality, assurance and solutions provider for Indiana and the Midwest, has announced a major expansion in its headquarters in Indianapolis, adding to the list of growing Indiana companies.

Stratosphere Quality provides sorting and inspection services for manufacturing industries in the automotive, medical, and appliance fields, among others.

The company helps suppliers and manufacturers improve the quality of their products by analyzing and identifying the main causes of defects and inefficiency, thus increasing productivity and cost effectiveness.  Stratosphere Quality plans to invest 2.6. million dollars to improve its offices in Fishers, creating up to 225 new jobs by 2015.  “[Stratosphere Quality is] pleased to see that the careful planning and work being done by Governor Daniel’s team is paying off with such a positive business environment.”  Tom Gray is Stratosphere Quality’s Chief Operating Officer, and stated, “We Continually invest in our employees…and are excited to have the opportunity to continue to grow and provide more jobs and training in our home state of Indiana.”  Stratosphere Quality hired Bingham Greenebaum Doll to assist incentive procurement, and fulfillment services while liaising with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and state government.

Thanks to the assistance of the IEDC, governmental policy issued by the state, and Bingham Greenebaum Doll’s legal support, Stratosphere Quality was able to save 1.5 million dollars in tax credit, and several thousand more to use in the training of new hires for the company. Steve Cage, who is the owner of Stratosphere Quality, is a long time client of Bingham McHale. Bingham McHale recently announced that it intends to merge with Louisville-based law firm Greenebaum Doll & McDonald. This will allow the combined, regional firm of Bingham Greenebaum Doll to better serve business clients like Stratosphere as they continue to expand and prosper in Indiana.
