BGD Assists Dubois Strong in Securing $250,000 Funding from USDA

BGD is proud to announce that the firm recently helped Dubois StrongTM secure $250,000 in funding from the US Department of Agriculture Intermediary Relending Program. The funds will be used to provide low-interest loans to public and nonprofit organizations to relend for business and community development.

Dubois StrongTM is Dubois County, Indiana’s economic development source for innovative entrepreneurs and thriving businesses. Dubois County is home to publicly traded corporations and numerous other privately-held businesses, including OFS Brands, Jasper Engines and Jasper Group.

The Intermediary Relending Program is USDA Rural Development’s primary program for capitalizing revolving loan funds. USDA lends money to economic development intermediaries who in turn re-lend the funds as commercial loans to rural businesses that might not otherwise be able to obtain such financing. The repayment of the ultimate recipients’ loans allows the intermediary to continue to make more loans to new recipients, supporting sustainable economic development.

BGD attorney Jon Wright and I were pleased to assist Dubois StrongTM throughout the process of securing these funds. We look forward to our continued work with Dubois StrongTM to assist in bringing more resources to businesses in Dubois County.
