Indiana University's Hudson & Holland Scholar's Program L.E.A.D. Conference

Indiana University's Hudson & Holland Scholar's Program (HHSP) is an invaluable resource that focuses on recruiting and retaining talented minority undergraduate students and helping them develop into the future leaders of our communities.  Among other things, HHSP aims to increase the number of high achieving students with a commitment to service, social justice and leadership to the Bloomington campus.  HHSP also seeks to prepare Scholars for successful post-baccalaureate placement in a professional vocation, graduate or professional school.

HHSP currently supports more than 600 scholars from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.  The HHSP L.E.A.D initiative is founded on the principles of Leadership, Excellence, Academics and Diversity (L.E.A.D.).  HHSP's Second Annual L.E.A.D. conference, which consists of workshops and panel discussions regarding undergraduate personal, professional and/or academic development, takes place this Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Bloomington Convention Center.

I am honored to be the Keynote Speaker for this important event and am looking forward to sharing my thoughts about diversity and leadership with the distinguished scholars.
