Sonia Chen was recently featured in Indianapolis Woman Magazine for her dedication to her heritage and her community.

At an early age, Sonia and her family emigrated to America from Taiwan.  Today, Sonia credits her personal and professional successes to the examples of strength, determination and perseverance set by her parents.  Growing to love the passions of her parents and adopting them as her own, Sonia went on to study music and the violin, as well as law at Indiana University.

After earning her law degree, Sonia joined Bingham McHale, which recently became Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, quickly establishing herself and being named as a rising star by Indiana Super Lawyers.  Sonia devoted herself to supporting various other organizations like the International Violin Competition, the American Cancer Society, and Teb’s Troops.

As her career progressed, Sonia turned her attention toward her heritage and toward helping others with similar experiences when they moved to the United States.  Sonia serves as the acting board president for the Asian American Alliance of Indianapolis, an organization founded in 1999 supporting Asian Americans in business and the community.

Currently Sonia works for Eli Lilly as legal counsel in the therapeutic areas.
