Our Focus

The Bingham Greenebaum Doll team is comprised of driven, hard-working individuals collaborating to develop creative and innovative legal practices. We seek new team members with unique perspectives and diverse backgrounds who share the values that define our culture. We look for candidates who share our entrepreneurial attitude, who are driven, who demonstrate grit and resilience, who have intellectual curiosity, exceptional interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about owning projects and initiatives.

We believe that combining experiences, knowledge, and ideas from individuals with different backgrounds allows us to provide our clients with the most innovative and effective solutions. We encourage all of our attorneys and staff members to recognize the value of diversity in creating a fulfilling work environment and better results for our clients. We are always learning, and we believe that the best way to improve on our ideas is to seek out opinions and perspectives that are different from our own.

Recruiting Efforts: Diverse Backgrounds and Perspectives

Bingham Greenebaum Doll actively pursues opportunities to engage with people of various backgrounds who are interested in the legal profession.

We are one of the three leading sponsors of the Indianapolis Bar Association (IndyBar) Annual Diversity Job Fair. This event is one of the region’s largest job fairs focused on connecting diverse candidates with career opportunities in Indianapolis, a city with a thriving tech economy and amenities that cater to the needs of highly-skilled professionals. Our attorneys also participate in several other minority job fairs throughout the year, including the ABA Council on Legal Education Opportunity.

Furthermore, our Firm has proudly signed the American Bar Association’s “Pledge for Change: Disability Diversity in the Legal Profession.” This pledge upholds our commitment to promote diversity in the legal profession as well as encourage others to make this same commitment, specifically relating to disability diversity. LCLD Member Firm

Our Firm is a proud member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization made up of the general counsel and managing partners of the leading corporations and law firms in the country, working to build a more open and diverse legal profession.

Founded in 2009, LCLD has grown to an organization of more than 265 Members. United by a spirit of activism and personal commitment, LCLD Members participate widely in the programs they've created - leading by example, taking action, and challenging the legal profession to prepare future generations of diverse talent for the highest positions of leadership.

BGD Of Counsel, David W. Tandy (pictured left), who practices with the Firm’s Diversified Business Solutions Team and is a member of the Economic Development Department, has been selected as a 2019 LCLD Fellow, one of most comprehensive legal talent development programs in the country. The landmark LCLD program is focused on building relationships and leadership skills.

LCLD Pathfinder

Bingham Greenebaum Doll has selected Aaron W. Marcus (pictured right), associate in the Firm's Litigation Department, as its 2019 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder Program recipient. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is designed for diverse, high-potential, early career attorneys at LCLD Member organizations. The goal of this program is to provide these "Pathfinders" with practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks through relationship building skills, foundational leadership skills and an understanding of career development strategies applicable to both in-house and law firm practice.

BGD Diversity Scholars Program

Bingham Greenebaum Doll is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and open culture made up of talented individuals of diverse backgrounds. We strive to sustain a work environment in which each individual’s perspective, background, skills, and abilities are valued. To achieve this mission, BGD is committed to hiring, retaining, and developing a diverse team of employees that reflect the various communities in which we work. We strive to create a climate of inclusion, grow our talent pool, and foster innovation and creativity.

Launched in 2017 as part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, BGD’s Diversity Scholars Program is open to first-year law students who share the Firm’s commitment to a diverse, open, and respectful culture where all perspectives and skills are valued. The recipients of the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award are Neda Semsarieh and Shourya Vellanki (pictured left). 

Semsarieh is a first-year law student at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Vellanki is a first-year law student at Vanderbilt University School of Law. Both recipients expect to earn their law degrees in 2021 and will join the Firm’s 2019 Summer Associate Program in the Indianapolis and Louisville offices, respectively. BGD Women's Forum

The Bingham Greenebaum Doll Women’s Forum facilitates opportunities for women clients, business owners and community leaders. Our focus on serving professional women through community involvement, networking and thought leadership sets us apart in the legal community. The BGD Women’s Forum emphasizes mentoring, fostering relationships and open communication among our female attorneys, clients and professional colleagues. These are the key elements in creating a culture of success for women.
