Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP is committed to attracting, developing, retaining and promoting diverse talent. We believe that combining the experiences, knowledge, and ideas from individuals with different backgrounds allows us to provide our clients with innovative and effective solutions. BGD encourages every attorney and staff member to recognize the value of diversity in achieving not only a fulfilling work environment, but also better results on behalf of our clients.
RECRUITING EFFORTS: DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS AND PERSPECTIVES
BGD actively seeks opportunities to engage with people of various backgrounds who are interested in the legal profession. In fact, we are the exclusive sponsor of the Tri-State Diversity Recruiting Program that celebrated 10 years in 2015. This annual event connects regional law firms and public service agencies with a diverse group of potential summer associates and entry-level attorneys.
We are one of the three leading sponsors of the Indianapolis Bar Association (IndyBar) Diversity Job Fair held annually in the Circle City; this event is one of the region’s largest job fairs focused on seeking diverse candidates looking for a one-of-a-kind legal community in a Midwestern city that has both cosmopolitan style and small-town charm. We also proudly provide a $2,500 scholarship to a deserving student interviewing at the IndyBar Diversity Job Fair every year as an extra effort to support diversity in the legal community.
In addition, our attorneys attend several minority job fairs throughout the year, including the ABA Council on Legal Education Opportunity and the Cook County Bar Association Minority Law Student Job Fair.
DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
The firm continues to take its service commitment to our clients and our communities seriously. One way we illustrate this commitment is through supporting a range of civic and charitable organizations. We also sponsor events for local and regional chapters of non-profit organizations. We do this to help ensure the continued success of the communities that our clients and firm serve and live in.
Specifically, Brackets For Good welcomed BGD to its 2015 and 2016 fundraising tournaments that tipped off in February as both a Title Sponsor in Louisville and Divisional Sponsor in Indianapolis. We were thrilled to show our support of the organizations through our sponsorship in both cities, and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will make in our communities for years to come. The firm will return as a sponsor for the 2017 tournaments in both cities. The firm will also be a Title Sponsor of the 2017 inaugural tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio.
On a larger scale, many of our attorneys serve on a wide variety of committees and boards, often in leadership positions. BGD also encourages our attorneys to participate in leadership training. In addition, the firm annually supports The American Heart Association, The United Way, and the Legal Aid Society, as well as many other civic and community organizations.
