Meagan Brien Presented with Service Award from Evansville Bar Association

Thursday, May 4, 2017 2:30 pm

BGD would like to congratulate firm attorney Meagan R. Brien on her recent honor from the Evansville Bar Association (EBA). Brien was presented with the Doran Perdue Service Award during the EBA’s Law Day Dinner on April 28 in recognition of her outstanding service and pro bono work to the Association.

The award was established in 1988 to honor those members of the EBA who have provided outstanding service to the Association during the preceding year or outstanding service on an Association project, committee or section.

In her seven years of practicing, Brien has served on the Evansville Bar Association board of directors, chaired the Young Lawyers and the Women Attorneys sections, chaired the mock trial competition and the high school Law Day student lunch, and co-chaired the Law Day Celebration.

Brien currently chairs the Association’s Women Attorneys Section, serves as an at-large member of the Board of Directors, and is a member of the Association’s Membership Taskforce. She is also chair of the upcoming "Breaking Through Bias" event on May 10 that will discuss gender diversity and bias in the workplace with national speakers Andrea Kramer and Alton Harris.

Brien is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, where she focuses her practice on business and corporate law, commercial litigation, employment law, and estate planning and probate administration.

Congratulations, Meagan! This recognition is well-deserved.
