2013 ABA/IPT Advanced Property Tax Seminar
The American Bar Association Section of Taxation and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation have joined forces to present the 2013 ABA/IPT Advanced Property Tax Seminar. The event is a subset of the ABA/IPT Advanced Tax Seminars being held in New Orleans from March 18-22, which will address the increasing burden of state and local income, sales, use and property taxes throughout the country. Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP attorney Mark A. Loyd currently serves as an IPT Co-Chair for the Advanced Property Tax Seminar Committee.
Join Mark on Thursday, March 21, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. for the “Multi-State Property Tax Update and Roundtable Discussion,” which he will moderate. The discussion is designed to provide an update from a panel of state tax practitioners from across the country on important property tax developments in several key states, including California, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.
Mark will also serve as moderator for the presentation on “Ethical Dilemmas in The Tax World” on Friday, March 22, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Examples of ethical situations that have occurred or could occur for state tax professionals will be discussed, as well appropriate action that may be taken. Suggestions for how to minimize and/or avoid falling into these situations in the future will also be provided.
