American Health Lawyers Association Long-Term Care and the Law
Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner J. Richard Kiefer will be speaking at the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Long-Term Care and the Law Program on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 3–4 p.m. Kiefer will speak on the topic “From Penn State to Corporate Board Rooms – Making Compliance Programs Effective.” This program will highlight the report by former FBI Director Louis Freeh on how the Jerry Sandusky scandal happened and his recommendations to the Penn State Board of Trustees to prevent such occurrences in the future. The program will cover how to create systems and decision-making procedures throughout a company to establish a proper balance between quality of care and profitability, as well as creating systems to establish authority and changing organizational structures to ensure effective reporting.
