Captive Insurance Roundtable

05.19.2010

Overview

Captives, a risk financing alternative to traditional insurance, can be a beneficial strategy. You’ve read the articles and understand the basic principles, but does a Captive make sense for your company? If you have a captive, perhaps you are considering strategies on how to use your captive more effectively.

Join Marsh, Greenebaum Doll & McDonald, PLLC and the Commonwealth of Kentucky for a Captive Roundtable Discussion as panelists dive into the details of single parent, group and other forms of captives to help attendees better understand which approach is best for their organizations.

Whether you have a captive in place or are just exploring captives as an alternative solution to your insurance program, this session will be very valuable.

What To Expect

Jay Curtis will address captive structures, the advantages and disadvantages of captives, and domicile selection including domestic and off-shore. Russ Coy will provide an update on captives in Kentucky. Chaz Lavelle will discuss the legal and tax implications of captives and what you need to know. Melissa Updike will give her perspective on challenges, opportunities, and benefits as the Executive Director of the Kentuckiana Medical Reciprocal Risk Retention Group.
