This intensive, one-day seminar will give attendees the substantive skills needed to practice in state court. Learn the basics of civil litigation. Receive valuable information and forms to guide the practitioner from initial client contact to trial. "Litigation Basics" has been approved for 6.0 CLE hours and 6.0 NLT hours.
Dan has been a trial lawyer for 29 years. He taught Advanced Trial Advocacy for five years at the University of Cincinnati College of Law; he also created and coached the law school’s trial competition program that, within his tenure, saw a team win its regional division and advance to the National Trial Competition finishing in the top ten in the nation. In 2013, the University of Cincinnati Law Alumni Association presented Dan with the Adjunct Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching Excellence. He is a frequent lecturer for the Ohio State Bar Association on the topic of trial skills, and has been invited three times by the Ohio Supreme Court to teach Continuing Judicial Education for Ohio’s trial judges.
