Tennessee Asian Pacific American Bar Association & the ABA Section of International Law present "Hot Legal Topics in International Business Transactions - Japan & Tennessee"

As business relationships between international firms and Tennessee companies grow, the need for understanding the legal issues that arise when foreign companies seek to do business in the United States also grow.  This session will focus on special aspects of transactions involving Japanese companies doing business in the United States and will be of use for both those representing foreign interests and those representing American clients seeking to do business with them.

The following topics will be covered: 
    -- the current state of Japanese economy 
    -- recent Japanese business and investment trends 
    -- cultural issues in negotiations

Featured speakers include the Hon. Hiroshi Sato, Consul-General of Japan in Nashville, Robert Brown of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald, and Mohammad Syed of King & Ballow.
