Department of Revenue Commissioner Resigns; New Commissioner Appointed

Kentucky Department of Revenue Commissioner William M. Cox, Sr. announced his resignation, effective June 30, 2008. Cox served as Commissioner since his appointment by Governor Steven L. Beshear on December 17, 2007.
Governor Beshear announced the appointment of Thomas B. Miller on July 1, 2008, effective the same day. Commissioner Miller attended Lincoln College in Lincoln, Illinois, and the University of Louisville. He is a graduate of the Kentucky School of Banking. Commissioner Miller has previously worked in the financial service industry, including two separate stints with the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions.
