24 Foundation and Justin Hage Gear Up for 24 Indianapolis Fundraising Event
24 Foundation is gearing up for the 6th Annual 24 Indianapolis, a 24-hour non-competitive event for cyclists and walkers of all abilities to raise money for the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center. BGD attorney Justin Hage, who also serves on the 24 Foundation board, recently visited Inside Business with Gerry Dick to discuss the event, his cancer survival story, 24 Foundation and its purpose.
“The thing that distinguishes our organization and our event is that we are really focused on survivorship and navigation,” said Hage. “As research has led to more people being able to experience long term remission or even cure, the need to help patients as they are going through the journey with navigation and survivorship has become more important. I think that is what distinguishes our mission.”
The 24 Foundation mission is to inspire and engage communities to make an immediate impact on the lives of people affected by cancer. They help fund cancer survivorship, navigation services, and programming through Livestrong nationally, and the IU Simon Cancer Center locally.
24 Indianapolis will begin at 7 p.m. on June 23, ending 24 hours later on June 24. Registration is still open and all are welcome to register, volunteer or come as spectators to encourage the cyclists and walkers. Hage will serve as the BGD team captain.
