12.01.2006

Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC has announced that Jeffrey A. McKenzie, Member-in-Charge of the firm’s Louisville office, has been named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the firm. Jeff replaces outgoing Chairman and Chief Executive Officer P. Richard (Rick) Anderson Jr.

Jeff joined Greenebaum in 1986 and was elected Member-in-Charge of the Louisville office in 2005. He becomes the fifth Chairman in the firm’s 55 year history.

In addition to his new role as Chairman and CEO, Jeff is the Chair of the firm’s Economic Development and Incentives Team within the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group, where he concentrates his practice in business law, economic development, corporate law, real estate development and finance, commercial lending and construction. Jeff has been involved in negotiating more than $1 billion in incentives for new and growing clients.

“I am honored to be elected successor to Rick and look forward to leading the firm in the years ahead. Greenebaum’s team of 200 dedicated law professionals assures our future success. I could not imagine a more capable group of attorneys,” Jeff stated. “As Chairman, I will strive to grow our legacy as one of the preeminent business law firms in the region. The experience and knowledge of our attorneys are second to none.”

Rick served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the firm since 1994 and will continue as a Member of the firm. He concentrates his practice in corporate law and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions, and has represented both public and privately-owned businesses for over 30 years. He serves as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Louisville Fund for the Arts and as board member of the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Louisville Regional Airport Authority and the Kentucky Opera Association. Rick chaired the 2005 Louisville Metro United Way Campaign.

“Rick has been a true leader of the firm. Under his command the firm has grown from just over 100 legal professionals to more than 200 today,” Jeff said. “After 13 years as Chair, his experience in business and law are invaluable to the firm.”

Senior attorney, Robert Doll, who from 1969-1986 served as the firm’s second Chairman, stated, “It is a pleasure to see the firm pass into the capable hands of Jeff McKenzie.”

“Jeff brings an outstanding drive and passion to his new role,” Rick stated. “I am proud of the success the firm has had during my tenure as Chairman and I look forward to working closely with Jeff.”

Among his many community service roles, Jeff serves on the boards of Leadership Louisville, the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and the Lincoln Heritage Council Boy Scouts of America. He has served numerous community organizations including as past Chair of the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park Board of Directors, Commissioner of Central State Recovery Authority, and past Chair of Bellewood Home for Children. He is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky, Leadership Louisville and the Bingham Fellowship in Economic Development.
