Attorney and Carmel Redevelopment Commissioner Henry Mestetsky Discusses the City of Carmel’s Economic Development Progress with WISH-TV
In 2016, Attorney Henry Mestetsky was appointed by City of Carmel Mayor James Brainard to serve as Secretary of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, which facilitates economic development projects within the City of Carmel. Since that appointment, he has been involved in the various economic development efforts that the City of Carmel is undertaking. In an interview with WISH-TV 8’s Brenna Donnelly, Henry praised Brainard’s leadership for the city’s growth, stating “the last 20 years has really built Carmel into what it is today… There are over 100 corporate headquarters that ensure that city services are paid for by businesses instead of by residents.” He also credits tax-increment financing (TIF) as an integral part of Carmel’s successful growth.
