LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 1, 2015)—Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP is pleased to announce that experienced corporate and transactional attorney Raja J. Patil has been elected to the Partnership within the firm following a special meeting to consider his candidacy on June 29, 2015. He rejoined the firm’s Louisville office as a member of the Corporate and Transactional practice group earlier this month.

The firm continues to strategically add talent to practice areas that will have the most impact. BGD has welcomed 13 attorneys to its offices so far this year as it continues to tailor its capabilities to regional markets in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio while remaining steadfast in its commitment to client service excellence.

Raja has a multidisciplinary practice that concentrates on commercial real estate, finance, mergers and acquisitions, general contract and business law. He regularly negotiates and documents for financings, leases, corporate formation and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and a broad array of commercial agreements and business documents.

Raja assists clients ranging from relatively small start-up companies to large publicly traded corporations. He counsels clients in a variety of industries, including financial institutions, hotels, retail, software development, senior and post-acute care facilities, healthcare, real estate development, franchising and distribution, restaurant, energy and natural resources and manufacturing.

“Raja’s substantial experience in commercial finance and commercial transactions, real estate transactions, long term care and general corporate law make him an important addition to our team,” said Peggy B. Lyndrup, co-chair of BGD’s Corporate and Transactional practice group. “We are thrilled to welcome him back to the firm.”

Earlier in his career Raja was a senior associate with Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC, which merged with Indianapolis-based Bingham McHale LLP to form the regional law firm of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP in 2012. Most recently he was a partner at Fultz Maddox Dickens PLC.

Raja received his B.A. in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University in 1998. He then completed a joint degree program consisting of a J.D. from the Washington University School of Law and a M.B.A. from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in 2003.

Raja is an active member of various organizations including The Indian Professional Council, Louisville Bar Association, American Bar Association, Greater Louisville International Professionals and Young Professionals Association of Louisville.
