Benjamin Evans Appointed Assistant Vice Chair of ABA’s ESOP Subcommittee
BGD attorney Benjamin J. Evans was recently appointed Assistant Vice Chair of the Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Tax Section. In addition, Evans was also appointed Employee Benefits Committee’s Liaison to the ABA Tax Section’s Diversity Committee.

Evans is a partner in the firm’s Louisville office and concentrates his practice in employee benefits law, including qualified retirement plans, employee welfare benefit plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, COBRA, and ERISA-related litigation. He is currently serving as the President of the Louisville Employee Benefits Council.
The mission of the ABA Section of Taxation is to serve their members and the public by providing education about taxes and tax systems, and by providing leadership to support the development of an equitable, efficient and workable tax system. The Employee Benefits Committee focuses on developments and issues relating to employee benefits under the Code, ERISA and other laws.
