BGD Attorney Alex S. Rodger Shines in 107th Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Championship
Bingham Greenebaum Doll attorney Alex S. Rodger reached the final match of the prestigious 107th Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Golf Tournament, as reported by The Cincinnati Enquirer. According the publication, the one-time professional golfer won five matches on his way to the finals, ultimately losing to Alex Ebel, a junior college All-American.
Rodger enjoyed a week-long roll at Blue Ash Golf Course, securing three wins against college-caliber golfers before defeating a former Xavier golfer in the morning quarterfinals and beating a Northern Kentucky University golfer in the afternoon semifinal.
Rodger, a former professional golfer, competed on eight professional tours all over the world and accumulated seven professional victories before he returned to school earning his J.D. from the University Of Cincinnati School Of Law. Rodger has been reinstated as an amateur by the USGA and readily admits “I'm not as good now and I don't play as much.” But, he hasn’t lost his competitive side. Rodger may not get paid to play anymore but said on his return to the links as an amateur, “I enter tournaments now because I want to win them.”
At BGD Rodger is a part of the firm’s Litigation practice group where he focuses on a wide range of commercial and business litigation.
