BGD Attorney Receives Prestigious Award from the American Heart Association
The Lexington Chapter of the American Heart Association recently awarded Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Job Darby Turner and his wife Charlotte the 2014 Franklin Moosnick Service Award. This is the AHA’s highest volunteer award, acknowledging service to the chapter that goes above and beyond the norm.
The Turners have been actively involved with the AHA for several years. In 2012 and 2014, they served as Heart Ball Chairs, which is one of the AHA’s largest fundraisers. The pair helped lead the organization to national fundraising benchmarks both years.
“They have networked our organization with their friends and business associates, securing their support as well,” a representative of the AHA said of the Turners. “Most importantly, they share their passion for the organization wherever they go and with whomever they speak. They are very aware of the need for our organization – Darby is a survivor – and they support us in so many ways.”
The Kentucky affiliate of AHA established the Franklin Moosnick Service award in 1990. When Kentucky merged with Ohio and West Virginia to create the Ohio Valley Affiliate (now the Great Rivers Affiliate), the Kentucky board of directors voted to continue the award and placed it within the Lexington Chapter.
