BGD Attorneys' Airport Gambling Idea Garners National Attention
An airport gambling idea that originated with two Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP gaming attorneys has gained the attention of national news publication USA Today. In a recent issue of the Indianapolis Business Journal, gaming attorneys Joseph Champion and Philip Sicuso floated the idea of making wireless gambling technology available at the Indianapolis International Airport as an additional means of revenue to support more nonstop flights at the airport.
In their opinion, the setup would not compete with existing casinos because it would serve a captive audience: ticketed travelers. Sicuso is quoted in USA Today as stating, “That’s part of the reason we thought it was palatable. It’s a completely new customer.”
