BGD Attorneys Assist in German American Bank Expansion
Bingham Greenebaum Doll served as counsel for firm client German American Bank in its recent expansion in the Columbus market and entrance into the Greensburg market. The bank acquired five branches of First Financial Bank (formerly Main Source Bank) in a deal finalized on May 18.
Attorneys Jeremy Hill, Eric Schue, Tonya Vachirasomboon, Brad Arnett and Bryan Weese oversaw the transfer of approximately $175 million in deposits and $120 million in loans as part of the transaction. With BGD’s help, the bank was able to expand its “community-focused, customer-first” philosophy into new locations, and as CEO of German American Mark Schroeder emphasized, “continue to grow [German American]’s presence in both Columbus and Greensburg in the coming months and years.”
