BGD's Christie A. Moore Elected to the Legal Aid Society Board of Directors
Please join the firm in congratulating partner Christie A. Moore on her recent election to the Legal Aid Society of Louisville Board of Directors.
The Legal Aid Society of Louisville has been serving the community for 92 years, making it Kentucky’s oldest legal services program. The mission of the Legal Aid Society is to “pursue justice for people in poverty.”
The Legal Aid Society is able to represent thousands of individuals and groups who subsist on an income at or below 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines every year.
The unifying theme of civil law is equal access to justice. This nonprofit organization was able to provide services for nearly 4,000 people last year in 15 counties throughout Kentucky. The Legal Aid Society is the only organization in Louisville and the surrounding counties that provides free legal services.
Moore is a partner at BGD as well as a Team Co-Leader of White Collar Criminal Defense and is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. As well as white collar criminal defense, she practices in complex commercial litigation, representing clients in antitrust, health care, securities, intellectual properties, RICO, and False Claims Act matters. Moore has been an ardent supporter of Legal Aid and Volunteer Lawyer since 1998.
More information about the Legal Aid Society can be found on their website.
