BGD to Host Indiana Broadcasters Association
Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Daniel Byron will host a meeting between Senator Dan Coats and the Indiana Broadcasters Association at the firm’s Indianapolis office on Oct. 1, 2014. The meeting will provide the IBA the opportunity to address various legislative issues with Senator Dan Coats and members of his staff. Byron is General Counsel of the Association.
“BGD is pleased to host the Indiana Broadcasters Association at our Indianapolis office,” said Byron. “We expect a great dialogue between Senator Coats and the IBA, and we appreciate the opportunity to address various issues that are pertinent to our organization, as well as the community.”
The firm expects around 20 attendees for the meeting.
Since 1999, Mr. Byron has served as general counsel for the Indiana Broadcasters Association. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indiana Broadcasters Association in October 2008 for especially meritorious service and contributions in the field of broadcasting, the association’s highest honor. He is the only non-broadcaster to receive the award.
The Indiana Broadcasters Association has been representing radio and television broadcasters in the Hoosier state for 66 years. IBA is a 501c (6) not-for-profit corporation. Membership includes commercial and non-commercial radio and television stations, public broadcasters, educational institutions, lower power radio and television, commercial associates, individuals and students. IBA members enjoy a wide variety of services including legal counsel, professional development and training, achievement recognition, employee recruitment job fairs and lobbying at the state and federal levels.
