“Carmin and Brian have impressive track records in Kentucky related to their work in the health care field, including strategic long-term care planning and experience working for prominent companies within the industry,” said Tobin McClamroch, Co-Chairman of the firm. “Their addition to our team is a natural next step in our effort to provide the depth and breadth of legal service that our health care clients require as they grow across the country.”

Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP has a strong team providing strategic, operational and regulatory guidance to national and regional health care and managed care providers. Grandinetti and Zoeller bring additional strength to the strategic services offered by the firm, including outsourced general counsel services and guiding transactional and financing matters to help clients grow and build their businesses.

Grandinetti has extensive experience in the health care industry, including 15 years serving as principal outside counsel to Kindred Healthcare, Inc., (formerly part of Vencor, Inc.) and six years as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Atria Senior Living, Inc. Grandinetti has practiced in the legal field for more than 30 years with a focus in complex strategic transactions involving companies in the health care industry. He has extensive experience in advising health care clients in mergers, acquisitions and commercial finance. He has also worked with real estate investment trusts that focus on investing in health care properties in connection with acquiring and disposing of properties as well as managing their assets on an ongoing basis. Grandinetti was previously a member in Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC, Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP’s predecessor law firm, and returns to the firm from Fultz Maddox Hovious & Dickens PLC in Louisville, Ky, where he was a member.

Zoeller focuses his practice on strategic and transactional matters related to the health care industry, including the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities and medical office buildings, and Stark and anti-kickback compliance. His transactional work includes representation of a client in its multi-million dollar loans for the construction of long-term care facilities in Florida.

Before entering the legal field, Zoeller worked for Kindred Healthcare, Inc. as a consultant in the Compliance Department, where he managed the implementation of several key components of Kindred Healthcare’s Corporate Integrity Agreement and helped develop and implement the company’s HIPAA compliance program.
