Bingham Greenebaum Doll Partner to Serve as Judge at 2013 National Invitational Public Policy Challenge
Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner John R. Gregg will serve as a judge for the 2013 National Invitational Public Policy Challenge in Philadelphia, Pa., March 16-17, 2013. The Public Policy Challenge is hosted by the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania with Governing magazine and challenges student teams to develop a policy proposal and civic campaign plan to achieve significant change in their hometowns.
Gregg was chosen to judge from among Governing magazine’s past Public Officials of the Year. Governing magazine, the presenting partner of the Challenge, is the publication of record for state and local public leaders. Gregg was the winner of the 2002 Governing Public Official of the Year honor for his service as the Democratic Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives.
“We are proud to see John named as a judge for the 2013 Public Policy Challenge,” said Toby McClamroch, Co-Chairman of the firm. “His commitment to Indiana and its citizens is inspiring, and we feel honored that he has the chance to be a part of this Challenge.”
Gregg and his fellow judges will see nine teams from graduate schools across the country compete at the Second Annual National Invitational to win prizes to kick-start their policy proposals. The four top-scoring teams in the First Round on Saturday, March 16, will each earn $5,000, and the winning team in the Finals on Sunday, March 17, will earn a grand prize of $10,000.
