Bingham Greenebaum Doll to Serve as Counsel to NAWBO

07.02.2012

Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP will serve as counsel for general matters for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as part of a one year agreement effective May 1, 2012.  The firm has long-standing relationships with NAWBO chapters in Indiana and Kentucky, and many of the firm’s partners are involved in the organization.

“We are pleased to represent NAWBO on a national level,” said Phillip D. Scott, Co-Chairman of the firm. “Through our recent merger, we have expanded our NAWBO relationships and continue to be impressed with the value of this organization. Our attorneys are backed by a far-reaching range of legal services, which makes our firm a natural choice for NAWBO.”

Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP will provide NAWBO with services involving all general counsel areas including: employment law, contracts and agreements, litigation, guidance on legal documents, day-to-day operations and development of a governance structure. The firm will also provide intellectual property services such as trademark services and brand management.

“The Bingham Greenebaum Doll Women’s Forum has been involved with NAWBO at the chapter level for many years,” said Kandi Hidde, Partner and Co-Chair of the Women’s Forum. “We understand the importance of facilitating a network of women business owners and have seen firsthand how NAWBO has helped our clients and our community.”

NAWBO represents the issues and concerns of women-owned businesses at the national and state levels. Through Congressional testimony, public policy conferences and member education, NAWBO has been at the forefront of advocacy on behalf of women business owners and the issues that impact their companies. The organization prides itself on being a global beacon for influence, ingenuity and action.

“We are excited to partner with NAWBO during the coming year,” said Amy B. Berge, Partner at the firm’s Louisville office. “We commend NAWBO for its strong support of women business owners and are delighted to have the opportunity to help the organization continue that tradition.”

In addition to serving as counsel for general matters, Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP will also sponsor the 2012 NAWBO Women’s Business Conference on October 4-5 in Louisville, Ky. The conference will draw women business owners and leaders from around the country. The conference is focused on connecting hundreds of women entrepreneurs to real business opportunities that deliver bottom-line results. The conference brings together businesses of all sizes from various industries to provide women entrepreneurs with both personal and professional tools and resources to take their business to the next level of success.
