Bingham Greenebaum Doll Welcomes Back Attorney Paula J. Shives
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 22, 2015) – Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Paula J. Shives has rejoined the firm as a member of the Economic Development practice group. She will again assist the firm from the Lexington office.
Paula is a senior corporate attorney focusing her practice on corporate governance and compliance. She has advised some of the country's largest restaurant chains for more than 25 years, most recently as General Counsel of Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE- DRI), owner and operator of the Olive Garden and Long Horn Steakhouse chains, among others.

Paula is able to advise clients on a broad array of corporate matters including: governance and compliance activity and policies; development and implementation of CEO succession plans; mergers and acquisitions; oversight of financial disclosure; executive and board compensation, including proxy disclosure and regulatory compliance; and board of director recruitment, orientation and succession.
Earlier in her career Paula was an associate and partner with Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC, which merged with Indianapolis-based Bingham McHale LLP to form the regional law firm of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP on Jan. 2, 2012.
Paula received her law degree from the University of Kentucky and her B.A. in psychology from Western Kentucky University. She is licensed to practice in Kentucky. Paula currently serves as an independent board member and is a past board chair of Lifespace Communities, Inc., the owner/operator of senior living communities. She also serves on the University of Kentucky College of Law Visiting Committee.
