Bingham McHale Top Among Law Firms in 2011 Best Places to Work in Indiana


Bingham McHale LLP was recently named as the top law firm and seventh among small to medium-sized companies in the 2011 Best Places to Work in Indiana competition.  Bingham McHale LLP was recognized at the 2011 Best Places to Work in Indiana Awards Dinner coordinated by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 5.

In addition to developing the customer service culture, Bingham McHale LLP was also recognized for developing a culture of commitment to the community. Bingham McHale LLP was named the 2010 Pro Bono Firm of the Year by the Indianapolis Bar Association. Partner Phillip Fowler was also named the 2010 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. WFYI recently recognized the firm’s commitment to the community by awarding Bingham McHale LLP the WFYI Community Involvement Award and the WFYI Star Award.

Bingham McHale LLP’s commitment to the community extends from the courtroom to the classroom. The firm has a longstanding relationship with T. C. Howe Community High School, part of the Indianapolis Public School system. Bingham McHale attorneys have been involved with Howe High School for more than 15 years through a variety of programs, including one-on-one mentoring, classroom reading and the Street Law program.

The top companies in the state are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Winners were selected from two categories: small to medium-sized companies of between 15 and 249 U.S. employees, and large-sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees nationwide. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana. The Best Companies Group, which handled the selection process, oversees similar programs in 21 other states.
