Blaine R. Blood Appointed Vice-Chair of the Louisville Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section
LOUISVILLE, KY: Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC is pleased to announce that Blaine R. Blood has been appointed to serve as Vice-Chair of the Louisville Bar Association’s (LBA) Labor and Employment Law Section for the 2012 calendar year.
With a membership over 3,400, the LBA is among the 40 largest local bars in the country and is the oldest continuously operating bar association in Kentucky. The mission of the LBA is to promote justice, professional excellence and respect for the law, improve public access to the judicial system, provide law-related services to the community and to serve its members. The LBA has 19 practice-focused sections, including the Labor and Employment Law Section. The leadership of these sections host regular meetings, plan Continuing Legal Education programs for their members and organize charitable events.
Mr. Blood is a member of Greenebaum’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. He has experience handling labor law matters such as arbitrations arising under a collective bargaining agreement and unfair labor practice charges filed under the National Labor Relations Act. Mr. Blood also handles employment law matters arising under a broad range of state and federal laws affecting employers. Mr. Blood received his B.A. from Brigham Young University, his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law and his LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, with highest honors, from George Washington University Law School.
