Firm Client to Shoot Potential Hollywood Ending for Latest Film Production at IHSAA Boys Basketball State Championship
Firm client BuggyBowlFilms L.L.C. (BBF) will film what is anticipated to be a climactic end to a story that has ultimately written itself these past few weeks during the 2015 IHSAA Boys’ Basketball State Tournament, thanks in small part to their relationship with BGD.
In production for the last two years, BBF’s current film production, The Buggy Bowl (working title), is a documentary that follows the Barr-Reeve High School boys’ basketball team from the predominately Amish community of Montgomery, Indiana, and their two-year run for the IHSAA 1A Boys Basketball State title.
Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Daniel L. Boots has helped BBF to quickly identify and secure the necessary licensing and clearances required to film on location at the various tourney playoff sites and the 1A Boys Basketball State Championship game this weekend at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Indianapolis, IN). Their documentary film, entitled The Buggy Bowl, depicts Barr-Reeve High School’s journey to this year’s championship game.
Boots assisted BFF with acquiring the necessary media rights from the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) for archival film footage, certain site and talent releases, and the placement of appropriate insurance for the on-site filming and post-shoot production and eventual release of the film.
The Barr-Reeve boys team, while having lost to Marquette Catholic in the 2014 state championship game in overtime, returns to the court at BLF this Saturday, March 28, at 10:30 a.m., to yet again face Marquette Catholic in the hopes of bringing home their first state title. As the ultimate epitome of life imitating art, BBF could not have scripted a better Hollywood ending!
