Gambling at the Indianapolis Airport? BGD attorneys discuss potential with IBJ
Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP gaming attorneys Joseph Champion and Philip Sicuso have recently been discussing the potential for wireless gambling technology to take root at the Indianapolis International Airport. The addition of the technology, they argue, could bring in revenue to support more nonstop flights at the airport.
In their opinion, the setup would not compete with existing casinos because it would serve a captive audience: ticketed travelers. “That’s part of the reason we thought it was palatable,” Sicuso says in a front-page article in the Oct. 12 edition of the Indianapolis Business Journal. “It’s a completely new customer.”
