Greenebaum Attorney Invited to Join American College of Environmental Lawyers

LEXINGTON, KY:  Carolyn M. Brown, a Member in the Lexington office of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC, has been invited to join the American College of Environmental Lawyers, a professional organization of distinguished private sector lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law. Brown is the only attorney in Kentucky who has been extended an invitation to date. 

Membership is by invitation only and eligibility is limited to those who have practiced environmental law for at least 15 years and whose practice for the past five years has been at least 50 percent environmental law. Brown will be inducted into the organization in September 2008. 

Brown is chair of Greenebaum’s Regulatory and Administrative Practice Group, and is chair of the group’s Environmental and Natural Resources Team. Her practice focuses on environmental law and includes advice and counseling on regulatory requirements, permitting and transactional issues as well as environmental litigation. 

She is past chair of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Environmental Committee and is chair of the Kentucky Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy and Natural Resources. Brown received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in 1979 and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1982.
