Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC Names Five New Members

Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC is pleased to announce that Benjamin J. Evans, Michael A. Grim, Mark A. Loyd, Ted R. Martin, and W. Edward Skees have been elected as members of the firm.

Benjamin J. Evans is a member of the Estate Planning, Health and Insurance Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in employee benefits law, including qualified retirement plans, employee welfare benefit plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, COBRA, and ERISA-related litigation. Evans also provides advice regarding benefits issues in corporate transactions, correcting errors in the administration of employee benefit plans, and dividing retirement benefits in divorce. He is based in the firm’s Louisville office.

Evans received a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Medieval Studies, summa cum laude, and J.D., cum laude, from University of Notre Dame.

Michael A. Grim is a member of the Tax and Finance Practice Group and serves as the Aviation Services Team Chair. Grim focuses his practice on state, local and federal taxation. He is based in the firm’s Louisville office.

Grim received his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Indiana University Southeast, and J.D.,cum laude, from University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.

Mark A. Loyd is a member of the firm’s Tax and Finance Practice Group. His areas of practice concentration are state, local and federal taxation, tax controversy/litigation and governmental affairs. He is based in the firm's Louisville office.

Loyd received a B.A. degree in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Bellarmine College, an M.B.A., with distinction, from the University of Louisville, and a J.D., Class Salutatorian, magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.

Ted R. Martin is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. He has practiced at both the administrative and judicial level in Kentucky, including state and federal courts located throughout the Commonwealth. Martin has extensive experience in the legal issues affecting interscholastic athletics. Currently, his focus is on administrative proceedings and commercial litigation. He is based in the firm’s Lexington office.

Martin received a B.S. degree in Biology from Indiana University and J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky.

W. Edward Skees is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Skees practices construction and commercial litigation, including contract, franchise, lender liability, product liability, and member/shareholder litigation. He practices primarily in state and federal courts in Kentucky and Indiana. He is based in the firm’s Louisville office.

He received his B.S. degree in Accounting and M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky, and J.D., cum laude, from the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.
