Greenebaum Donates Over $90,000 of Computer Equipment to Hanover College

LOUISVILLE, KY:  Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC is pleased to announce that the firm has donated over 325 computers and related equipment, an estimated value of $91,900.00, to Hanover College. Gently used desktop and laptop computers, along with docking stations, mice and keyboards were donated to Hanover after the firm recently upgraded its computer equipment.

This donation will replace or supplement Hanover’s current computer inventory and allows the College to expand computer accessibility for students, faculty and staff. In turn, Hanover will donate surplus equipment to charitable organizations in need such as Girls Inc. of Jefferson County, Indiana; Goodwill BridgePoint Services Inc.; and Pathways Youth Shelter & Family Services.

“In this economy, many schools and nonprofits that rely heavily on government funding and donations are cutting back on technology expenses in order to balance their budgets. Because of this generous donation to our campus, we will be able to donate our surplus computers to needy organizations and put technology within reach to hundreds of others in our community,” states John Collins, Chief Technology Officer and Associate Professor of Computer Science at Hanover College. President Sue DeWine added that “This kind of corporate support for higher education benefits everyone. We are especially pleased that we will be able to allow non-profits to benefit from this gift.”

Phillip D. Scott, Chairman of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald, is a 1964 graduate of Hanover and currently serves as Chairman of their Board of Trustees. “Hanover afforded me many great opportunities during my college years and I’m thrilled Greenebaum is in a position to give back to such a fine school. Greenebaum takes pleasure in giving back to the community and we are happy to see the trickle-down effect our donation has created.”
