Greenebaum Enters into Major Underwriting Agreement with Kentucky Association of Manufacturers

06.07.2007

One of Kentucky’s leading law firms, Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC, has entered into a three-year, major underwriting agreement with the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM) to help promote and grow Kentucky manufacturing, according to Andrew C. Meko, president of KAM.

KAM is the only statewide trade association that exclusively focuses on the powerful manufacturing industry, which contributes 20 percent of the state gross product, more than twice that of the next commercial segment, real estate.

“Greenebaum Doll & McDonald understands that Kentucky’s entire economy greatly depends on the future of manufacturing,” said Meko. “Not only are 260,000 high-paying jobs with benefits at stake, so are hundreds of thousands of other jobs that directly and indirectly depend on manufacturing.”

“Through this long-term agreement with KAM, we are making a commitment to the future prosperity of our children and grandchildren,” said Jeffrey A. McKenzie, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Greenebaum. “We believe KAM is uniquely positioned to provide strong and powerful leadership across the Commonwealth for the manufacturing sector.”

“This agreement between two of Kentucky’s leading business institutions is a perfect marriage,” said Meko. “Greenebaum already understands the manufacturing industry and its issues having represented many of our members for numerous years.”

“KAM has been working closely with Greenebaum’s Frankfort office for a number of years on key legislation and other issues that impact manufacturing,” Meko said. “Our members and the entire industry will benefit greatly from Greenebaum’s knowledge and experience.”
