Janet P. Jakubowicz Elected President of the Louisville Bar Association
LOUISVILLE, KY: Greenebaum Doll and McDonald PLLC announced today that Janet P. Jakubowicz, a Member in the firm’s Louisville office, has been named president of the Louisville Bar Association (LBA). Jakubowicz becomes the third female attorney from Greenebaum to serve as president of the LBA. Peggy B. Lyndrup led the organization in 1989 and Margaret E. Keane led the association in 1997.
With a membership over 3,400, the LBA is among the 40 largest local bars in the country and is the oldest continuously operating bar association in Kentucky. The mission of the LBA is to promote justice, professional excellence and respect for the law, improve public access to the judicial system, provide law-related services to the community and to serve its members.
Jakubowicz is a member in Greenebaum’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group and the Class Action Defense Team Chair. Her practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of financial institutions, securities and RICO litigation and arbitration and class action litigation.
She is a member of the Kentucky Defense Trial Lawyers Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is listed in the Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business publication and in the Best Lawyers in Americalisting.
