Jeffrey A. McKenzie named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald

LOUISVILLE, KY – Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC announced today that Jeffrey A. McKenzie, Member-in-Charge of the firm’s Louisville office, has been named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the firm. McKenzie replaces outgoing Chairman and Chief Executive Officer P. Richard (Rick) Anderson Jr.

McKenzie joined Greenebaum in 1986 and was elected Member-in-Charge of the Louisville office in 2005. He becomes the fifth Chairman in the firm’s 55 year history.

In addition to his new role as Chairman and CEO, McKenzie is the chair of the firm’s Economic Development and Incentives Team within the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group, where he concentrates his practice in business law, economic development, corporate law, real estate development and finance, commercial lending, and construction. McKenzie has been involved in negotiating more than $1 billion in incentives for new and growing clients.

Anderson served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the firm since 1994 and will continue as a Member of the firm. He concentrates his practice in corporate law and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions, and has represented public and privately-owned businesses for over 30 years. He serves as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Louisville Fund for the Arts and as a board member of the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, and the Kentucky Opera Association. Anderson chaired the 2005 Louisville Metro United Way Campaign .

"Rick has been a true leader of the firm. Under his command the firm has grown from just over 100 legal professionals to more than 200 today," said McKenzie. "After 13 years as Chair, his experience in business and law are invaluable to the firm."

Senior attorney, Robert Doll, who from 1969-1986 served as the firm’s second Chairman, stated, "It is a pleasure to see the firm pass into the capable hands of Jeff McKenzie."

McKenzie serves on the boards of Leadership Louisville, the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and the Lincoln Heritage Council Boy Scouts of America. He has served numerous community organizations including as past Chairman of the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park Board of Directors, Commissioner of Central State Recovery Authority, and past Chair of Bellewood Home for Children. He is a graduate of the Leadership Kentucky and Leadership Louisville, and the Bingham Fellowship in Economic Development.

He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Law.
