Job D. (Darby) Turner elected Chairman-Elect of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce
LEXINGTON, KY: Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC has announced that Job D. (Darby) Turner, a Member in the firm’s Lexington office, has been elected Chairman-Elect of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Board of Directors.
The Kentucky Chamber represents nearly 7,000 businesses that share a vested interest in the state’s economic future. As Kentucky's premier business association, the Chamber represents its members in various industries, including manufacturing, services, wholesale and retail trade, construction, agriculture, finance and public administration.
Turner is a member of the firm’s Corporate and Commercial Practice Group and the Tax and Finance Group. His practice focuses on general corporate representation, real estate law, including representation before the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Planning and Zoning Commission, and business and estate planning matters. Turner served on the Greenebaum management committee for 15 years and as Member-in-Charge of the firm’s Lexington and Frankfort offices for seven years.
In addition to his other civic involvement, Turner has served as Chairman of Commerce Lexington, President of the Lexington Rotary Club, Chairman of the United Way, and as a member of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee. He was recently inducted into the Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass Business Hall of Fame. Turner received both an undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Kentucky.
