Jonathon Wright Appointed to Phoenix Theatre Board of Directors
BGD attorney Jonathon D. Wright has been appointed to serve on The Phoenix Theatre Board of Directors. He has also been appointed as a member of the not-for-profit theatre company’s Building & Relocation Committee and the Development/Capital Campaign Committee.
“[Jon] has already proven an energized and passionate supporter of the theatre, and our board of directors is stronger thanks to his presence,” said Eric J. Olson, Phoenix Theatre Director of Development.
The Phoenix Theatre is a 33-year-old professional, not-for-profit theatre company with a focus on new, contemporary theatre, producing over 200 performances each season. Whether you’re in the cabaret-style Basile stage or the more traditional, proscenium style Russell stage, the theatre presents the highest quality in professional, contemporary theatre, providing more intimacy than a film close-up ever could. The company has produced numerous award winners, including 39 Tony-Award Winners, 74 Drama Desk Award-Winners and 14 Pulitzer Prize-Winners. All of the productions are either Regional or Indiana Premieres, including several straight from Broadway.
Jon is a member of the firm’s Corporate and Transactional practice group, where he works closely with businesses to proactively manage legal risk and capitalize on business opportunities. In addition to serving as outside general counsel to clients, Jon has a particular focus on helping businesses grow through a variety of expansion mechanisms including idea commercialization, capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and franchising.
