"Lawyers in Contempt Not Common"

"Anecdotally, you don't find in Indiana lawyers being held in contempt by judges on a frequent basis," said Indianapolis attorney Kevin McGoff, who regularly represents lawyers facing disciplinary charges. "My take is there isn't a rash of contemptuous behavior by lawyers, and I take that as a positive reflection on the bar. When isolated incidents do happen, the ability to make those publicly available is easier and gets more attention."
