Mark A. Loyd Discusses Possible Changes to the Kentucky Tax Administration in 2016

BGD partner and chair of the firm’s Tax & Employee Benefits practice group Mark A. Loyd discussed potential changes to the administration of Kentucky taxes following Matt Bevin’s installation as Kentucky’s Governor in his latest “Tax in the Bluegrass” column for the Kentucky CPA Jounral. His article shares a few predictions regarding taxation in Kentucky in 2016.

In his new column, Loyd explains that it is typical of new administrations to “put their stamp” on both the Department of Revenue and the Board of Tax Appeals. He also sets forth some predictions for the new year including, among others, the potential for a new Revenue Commissioner and staff, reorganization of regulations and resources, and resolutions for pending cases.
