Mark A. Loyd Reappointed to IPT Tax School Committee
The Institute for Professionals in Taxation has reappointed BGD partner Mark A. Loyd to serve as co-chair of the 2016 Basic State Income Tax School Committee. Loyd began his term after being officially appointed co-chair by IPT President Margaret C. Wilson on Aug. 12, 2015.
As IPT co-chair of the Basic State Income Tax School Committee, Loyd will be responsible for the development and implementation of curricula for the Basic State Income Tax School. This includes the selection of instructors, the preparation and updating of school textbooks, case studies and problems used in the school, and the preparation and continual review of school examinations.
Loyd, who also serves as chair of the firm’s Tax and Employee Benefits practice group, recently accepted the IPT’s 2015 New Member Achievement Award, which recognized his contributions as one of the most active newer members, committed to stewardship, leadership and service in the state and local tax area. He has also been reappointed co-chair of the 2016 ABA/IPT Advanced Property Tax Seminar Committee.
