Martin J. Cunningham Elected to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Coal Association


Bingham Greenebaum Doll partner Martin J. Cunningham has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Coal Association (KCA). Located in Lexington, Ky., KCA is the state’s leading coal association and strives to provide effective leadership for the coal industry. Its mission is to ultimately enhance the ability of the Kentucky coal industry to compete in domestic and world coal markets.

“Martin’s experience and background in coal law matters makes him an ideal member of the Board of Directors for KCA,” said Carolyn M. Brown, Managing Partner of the firm’s Lexington office. “His involvement with KCA will further assist the organization in educating the state on the importance of energy resources and coal.”

Cunningham, who is a member of the firm’s Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group, focuses his practice on coal law matters including acquisitions and sales, regulatory litigation, contracts and property transactions for mineral producers. Cunningham represents businesses by advising clients on hazardous waste, solid waste and water liability, permitting and compliance matters.
